Theatre On Ice

TBSC is excited to announce our first United States Figure Skating Theatre On Ice Team, formed during the 2021/2022 season!

  • Our figure skaters practice over 2 hours per week, based out of the TBSA Oldsmar location.

What is Theatre On Ice?

Theatre On Ice (TOI) is a form of competitive figure skating that is popular in Europe, where it is known as Ballet on Ice.  It combines the grace of figure skating with the excitement of theatre and dance.

  • Teams consist of 8-30 skaters.
  • The programs are judged by US Figure Skating judges and are evaluated using a Component Judging System (CJS) that rewards originality, costuming, artistry and musicality.
  • Theatre on Ice consists of two programs:
    • Free Skate
    • Choreographic Exercise (CE)

Why Theatre On Ice?

Theatre On Ice is one of the fastest growing disciplines of skating, increasing 35% in the past three years!

Nearly 100 TOI teams were registered for the 2019-2020 season, and over 1300 skaters competed at the 2019 National Theatre On Ice Competition.  With competition across 8 levels, including Adult, Open, and Special Olympics, there’s a level for your skaters, regardless of their test or skill level.

You can help!

We are currently raising funds to support the team. Any size donation will go a long way to helping our girls with expenses associated with competing at an elite level.

Your contributions will go toward start-up expenses and costs that include items such as backdrops, props, travel and competition outfits.

Our skaters are some of the most hard working and dedicated young athletes. They pour their heart into being their best. Will you help them realize their dream of competing on a national stage?

We’ve made donating easy! Just click on the below Donate button to get started. Thank you so much in advance!!
